WELDING AND WEAR PLATES

Folla Tech has established our knowledge and reputation in welding on the basis of 30 years of experience, performance and customer satisfaction. We are known for delivering  high quality and advanced welding methods.

We operate within a fully equipped welding workshop that can handle equipment

weighing up to 30 tonnes.

We deliver NS ISO 3834-2 certified (quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials).

Welding repair and draft welding of

for example:

BOP cavities and seats

Internal drilling of wellhead valves and multi-drilling valve block

Ring track

Flat surfaces

Non-circular and asymmetrical surfaces

Welding methods:

MIG / MAG-based carbide welding:

Welding of alloys and materials such as copper, bronze and cast iron.

PTA welding (Plasma Transfer Arc):

Applies little heat to the workpiece and causes little structural change in the base material.  The PTA process is used for difficult parts that are exposed to extreme conditions during their lifetime, such as heat, wear, corrosion, erosion, glue and wear.

Plasma welding: MIG-based carbide welding, welding of alloys and materials such as copper, bronze and cast iron

FCAW - Flux Core Arc Welding

Manual GTAW (TIG) - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding

SMAW - Shielded Metal Arc Welding

SAW - Submerged Arc Welding

Automatic GTAW (TIG) Twin Rotary Head System:

We offer the latest technology in welding cladding. This advanced solution simplifies the welding process, reduces welding time, and provides a higher quality of overlay.

  • Fast preheating of the component with unlimited number of heating pads

  • Quick movement of the torch to other bores on the component

  • Produces smooth and stable rotation of the welding head

  • Smoother and smoother finish

  • Consistent deposition of welds

  • Coating of inner and outer surfaces at the same time

  • Independent controls for both arches

  • Welding of the first and second layers at the same time cuts welding time by 50%
